The City School is a true family-owned and operated program. We take this place personally because it’s not just where we work; it’s where we send our own children and grandchildren. Every classroom, every detail, and every decision reflects our desire to build something honest and lasting. Our goal has always been to create a place we are proud of, one that families can trust and children can truly thrive in.
The City School was born after ten wonderful years of HLC Kids Academy, making it even more special to open this new location on our 10-year anniversary. What began in 2015 as a small, family-run center built on the belief that early learning should feel like home, a place where children are loved, supported, and inspired to explore the world around them, has grown into a community that now supports children from infancy through preschool. The City School builds upon that same foundation by offering an environment that nurtures independence, curiosity, and confidence as children prepare for the next stage in their journey.
Rooted in child-led discovery, our classrooms inspire curiosity, creativity, and meaningful hands-on learning. We believe that children learn best when they are trusted to make choices, when they can move freely in a space prepared just for them, and when they are guided by teachers who respect their individual rhythm. Each day, children practice real-life skills, care for their environment, and build meaningful relationships, all of which help them grow into capable, kind, and confident little humans.
