Preschool
Our Preschool program serves children from Pre-K2 through Pre-K4 (approximately 2.5 to 5 years old) and is thoughtfully organized into three distinct classes: Juniors (Pre-K2), Grads (Pre-K3), and Pre-K4. While each class has its own developmental focus, children share learning spaces throughout the day, creating meaningful opportunities for cross-age interaction. Younger students benefit from observing and learning alongside older peers, while older children strengthen their confidence and leadership by modeling skills and guiding friends. This dynamic fosters independence, collaboration, empathy, and a strong sense of community within our school.
Our curriculum is built on a carefully designed continuum of skills that begins as early as infancy at our HLC location. By the time children transition to The City School, we are able to dive deeper into academics in a more focused and intentional way, building upon foundations introduced during their infant and toddler years. Life and practical skills remain a pillar of our philosophy. From food preparation and classroom responsibilities to problem-solving and self-care routines, we intentionally nurture capable, confident children who are active participants in their daily lives and learning experiences.
